Drug Addicted Women Treatment & Rehabilitation Center
The Drug Addicted Women Treatment Centre in Farah is funded by International Narcotics & Law Enforcement through the Colombo Plan in collaboration with the Ministry of Counter Narcotics, Government of Afghanistan. The project started providing services from May 2010 and will end in April 2011. This center has been located in Farah city and has the capacity of 20 clients at a time. The clients go through a comprehensive treatment and rehabilitation phases, each comprising of three months and are provided with literacy classes, vocational training and entertainment facilities as well.

WASH/GAGP
WASH or Water and Sanitation Hygienic project is funded by Japanese Embassy, KabulĀ under their GAGP program. The project activities were started in November, 2009 and will be completed within the contractual period of eleven calendar months. The project is designed to provide hygiene education and sanitation awareness to the rural communities. It also caters for the construction of Eco-Sanitary toilets in the target villages. VWO plans to extend the project to cover the remaining districts of this province in near future.
